Change? Or time to move on?

Well, with news this week it looks like there is change coming again. Based on the way things sound, it looks like it may be time to consider moving on. There is no need to make a decision at the moment, but I think it is wise to keep my options open over the next few months.

If things develop poorly and go south, then I know where I can go and keep working at a productive positon that I would be happy with. If things remaing nearly the same as they are now, then I'll be happy to stay where I am. No matter what, I know there are changes coming, but indications are already showing that some of them I am not going to be happy with.

Enjoy!

Payday and shopping

Today is our actual payday, but they are nice enough to depoist the funds into our accounts on Friday when the payday is on a weekend. So, we spent out Saturday driving around getting errands and shoppign done.

We made it to a yard sale at a church. I picked up a set of golf clubs, now we both have a set for this summer. I also picked up another paperback, at least it was not full price. She bought a whole box of mixed yarn for her knitting. We also got an armload of good quality shears for all the windows around here.

We bought the additional parts and put my bed back together finally. I got a quote on the price of a box spring as well, for later down the road. We had a great lunch at Montanna's. Each of use had a full order of back ribs and we shared a dessert. After takign about one and a half years to watch the series on DVD, we bought the final seassion of Buffy at Future Shop. Finally we got the grocery shopping done and headed home. All total, it took us about 7 hours to get everything done.

Actually, we still have to head out today for some odds and ends. One of the things we still need to get is a new Canada flag for the pole out back. I finally found a couple store and the prices online. It's ncie to know all the bills are paid and we are looking forward to family comign down to visit in the next few weeks.

Enjoy!

Sinus Infection is not fun.

Ugh...this sinus infection kicked into high gear while I was at work yesterday and I tried ever home remidy I could to knock it out last night. Knowing that I was under the weather, I got everything completed yesterday and warned my co-worker that I might not be in today. Thankfully, when I called in this morning to let people know, things we in place and I could take the day to get better. A few months ago, I read an article about a problem in North America dubbed 'presenteism'. Staff who are sick insist on going to work, thus passing on their cold/flu illness to the rest of the staff, these bugs then mutate and get passed back to the origonal staff who started the problem. Medical professionals are actually encouraging people to take the 1-3 days off that are needed to get past the infectious stage of their suffering.

In a 24 hour period, I have gone through two rolls of hand towel at work two rolls of toilet paper and three boxes of tissue paper at home. My eyes and nose just won't stop running. Ah well, it can't last forever.

Enjoy!

Baking & return to work

Well this weekend was taken up with baking. Some lasunga (sp), some meatloaf and two differnt types of cookies. I'm really enjoying this stuff already. Last couple of nights we've lit up the fireplace and enjoyed a real fire instead of using a fire stove. Just a few moments ago we just got some old wood (three years old) to add to out pile.

I start back to work tomrrow. My contract came in late Thursday afternoon. No courses are schedualed for next week, which works out really after being off for two weeks. I'll have four days to clear up any emails/voicemail or other stuff that accumulates when a perons takes time off from work for any length of time. My next course starts the week after.

Enjoy!
